Happy birthday to US!

Unfortuntately Kym was stuck down in Oz (all my friends seem stuck somewhere, the poor souls) but I met up with my birthsister in Bangkok and celebrated our joint 52nd birthday together. I keep returning to the same hotel and always request the same room, so the place is strarting to feel familiar and nice. Noina thoughtfully brought a cake and lights and all in all it was an excellent birthday evening.
It's a shame it was so short though- I had booked a much earlier flight from Hong Kong with Cathay, but somehow when I was about to leave it turned out I didn't have a booking. Fortunately they got me onto a plane anyway (apparantly full doesn't actually mean full if you've got the dosh), but I almost missed my own birthday!
I'm seriously thinking about starting to write a book along the lines of "101 mistakes I've made during my travels". Booking a ticket and finding out it was never booked would be one of those mistakes- if I'd started writing it three years ago it'd probably be mistake number 95. I think it could be an excellent book- I'd provide some soothing words and maybe some tips on how to rectify the situation. What do you think?
